What is Open Source Software

Hola Geeks, im back again with small Topic called Open Source Software What Does it mean while we say Open Source, in this very small Paragraph we are going to glimpse on it.

People are Sharing Software since Beginning of the computer Age. in fact, early 90’s not Sharing software was the Exception, and not the rule, The concepts of Open Source Software long predate the use of the term.

In English while we say Free has two Meaning

Free as in free speech, freedom to distribute
Free as in no cost, or, as is often said, as in “free beer”.

Use of Open Source Software means source code is made available with a license which provides rights to examine, modify and redistribute, without restriction on the user’s identity or purpose.

There are Lots of License available some famous of them are:

Permissive (such as BSD-licensed software)
Restrictive (such as GPL-licensed software)
